A car owner values their car on lot1.ie, confirms it by email, and their car appears in every dealer’s trade-in list — yours included.
You value the ones you want
Put a number on a car that suits your yard and leave the rest. When you do bid, do it inside 24 to 72 hours, because that is what the owner was promised.
If they take yours, you get their details
Name, phone and email arrive the moment your offer is accepted — and only then, and only to you.

Free means free. Not free for now.
There is no trial period, no expiry date and no point at which the account turns into an invoice. We do not take a card when you sign up, because there is nothing to take one for — a trade-in account has no billing attached to it at all.
We do sell software, and we would like you to buy it eventually. But that is stock, prep and sales, on the published price list, and it is a decision you make when you want to make it. This part stays free either way.

A real account, not a lead feed.
What you get is the trade-in half of Lot 1 itself — the same screens a paying dealership values cars on, with your name and logo on what the customer sees. The rest of the system is switched off, and here is exactly where that line falls.

The car owner was told, in plain words on the page they came through, that offers usually arrive within 24 to 72 hours. That promise is the only thing this whole arrangement rests on, and you are the person who keeps it.
It does not mean bidding on everything. Most enquiries will not be your kind of car and leaving them alone costs you nothing. It means that when a car does interest you, the number goes on it inside that window rather than the following week.
An enquiry stops taking offers a fortnight after the owner confirms it, so nothing sits in your list indefinitely.

What is the catch?
There is no charge and no card, so the catch is the obvious one: we would like you to end up paying for the rest of Lot 1 one day. Until you want it, the trade-in account stays as it is. Nothing expires and nothing degrades.
Is this the same as the Free plan on the pricing page?
No, and they are worth keeping straight. The Free plan is the whole system for a yard holding up to five cars. A trade-in account is the trade-in module on its own, with no limit on how many enquiries you take — but no stock, prep or sales.
How many enquiries will I actually get?
We are not going to put a number on that, because we would be making it up. It depends on how many car owners find lot1.ie and how many dealers are looking at the same enquiry. The site is new. What we can tell you is that every enquiry that comes in goes to every dealer, including you.
Do I have to bid on everything?
No. Most enquiries will not suit your yard and you can leave them. The expectation is only about the ones you do take: value them inside 24 to 72 hours, because the owner was told that before they sent the car in.
Do I see the customer’s details?
Not until they accept your offer. Every dealer sees the car — reg, photos, mileage, NCT, history. Nobody sees the name, the phone number or the email until an offer is taken, and then only the dealer whose offer it was.
How long does an enquiry stay open?
Two weeks from the point the owner confirms it. After that it stops taking offers, so a car cannot sit half-sold in your list for months.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes, and it is an upgrade rather than a move — same account, same login, same trade-in history. Stock, prep and sales switch on around what is already there.
Can I close the account?
Yes, whenever you like, and there is nothing to cancel because there is nothing being charged.

What we are not going to tell you.
There are no testimonials on this page, no dealer logos, no review score and no count of yards already signed up. That is not a design choice — it is because Lot 1 is new, the number is small, and dressing it up would be the first thing we lied to you about.
So we are not going to promise you a volume of enquiries, and we are not going to imply a national network that does not exist yet. What is true today is this: the account costs nothing, the enquiries that do come in are real cars from real owners, and every dealer on the system sees every one of them.
